An Introduction to AARM
Academy of Animal Resources Management (AARM) is a premier Institute under the Animal Resources Development Department, Government of West Bengal and managed by West Bengal Livestock Development Corporation Limited. The Academy was primarily the center for extensive infrastructure network up to Gram Panchayat level for transfer of improved technology of livestock rearing and farming, a noble mission, launched by the Directorate of Animal Resources and Animal Health, Government of West Bengal. The Institute is well connected by National Highway 12 (Formerly NH34), northern side of esteemed Haringhata farm, covering 58.861 acre, started functioning in the year 2007 and entrusted to Paschim Banga Go-Sampad Bikas Sanstha (PBGSBS) subsequently it is handed over to the West Bengal Livestock Development Corporation Limited under ARD Department, Govt. of West Bengal.
An Incubation Centre -
The institution conducts training of farmers, entrepreneurs and individuals to pursue their dreams in Veterinary product manufacturing, farming, skill upliftment, reshaping the future by farm-skill entanglement. The institution provides job-oriented skilled workers for modern day vet-product industries with in hand training from human and institutional resources of WBLDCL and Animal Resources Development Department, Government of West Bengal.
The institution hoists capacity building for field Veterinarians through induction training, promotional trainings as guided by Animal Resources Development Department, Government of West Bengal.
Location
AARM is located on the NH-12, adjacent to the IISER-K Connector Road at Simhat, near Barajaguli, Dist- Nadia.
Connectivity
The campus of AARM is at a distance of 52 km from Kolkata and is well connected by road (NH-12) and Railways. By road Barajaguli (NH-12) at a distance of 1 Km and nearest Railway station at Kachrapara which is at a distance of 12km.
Facilities Available with Academy of Animal Resources Management (AARM)
AARM Campus is located in the northern side of Haringhata Farm. Campus is surrounded by boundary wall and adequate private security is deployed to protect the campus.
Administrative Building with Wifi The building is well furnished with 24 hours uninterrupted electricity supply and has all modern facilities to run an institute.
Library –The Library has a good collection of books, journals for reference and can accommodate 60 trainees at a time to facilitate group study and collaboration. Beside this AARM has an exclusive e-Library facility for both trainers and trainees.
Laboratory- The Laboratory is well equipped with Models, Charts, Specimens and other scientific equipment for practical training.

Lecture Halls- There are four numbers of Lecture Halls with Audio –Visual facilities.
Animal Housing Facility.
The institute will be transformed into digital class room with other State of the Art facilities, very soon within FY 2023-24.

Admission Procedure for other trainings program
Random Advertisement in social media and WBLDCL website.
Wide spread circulation through the various agencies/office of ARD Department.
Selection of candidates as per the specific criteria mentioned in advertisement for different training programmes.
Candidates are selected after scrutiny of documents by the office and finally selected by the selection committee approved by the competent authority.
Selected candidates informed by mail.
Mode of payment is through online or money transfer (NEFT/RTGS/UPI) to the bank account of WBLDCL.
On confirmation of receipt after verification of transaction details, money receipt is issued from the end of Manager (Finance) WBLDCL.
On-line application module with payment facility will be started soon within FY 2023-24.
