A ready to eat cured smoked traditional delicacy, primarily made from side or back cuts of pork. Bacon may be eaten smoked, boiled, fried, baked, or grilled and eaten on its own, as a side dish (particularly in breakfasts in North America) or used as a minor ingredient to flavour dishes (e.g., the Club sandwich).
a) Thaw as per the instruction given for other pork items.
b) For block purchase, cut the chunk into your desired shape and sizes.
c) Heat the product in microwave oven, or keep the product in hot water (90oC) in a closed container for 5 – 7 mins, or keep the product in a closed stainless steel tiffin box and steam it in pressure cooker.
d) Do not expose to direct heat at high temperature as pork fat may be melted.
e) Remove the skin and pan fry to expect a golden colour.
f) Serve warm with salad or roll it with pao and salads and enjoy the delicacy.
