Chicken Whole leg

Very much delicious and savory chicken dish having high demand than other cut up parts. It is containing more fat than the breast muscle. Although chicken is generally considered as white meat still this cut up part, due to higher myoglobin percentage and higher oxidative fibres, is considered as red one.

Marinade chicken legs with garlic powder, soy sauce lemon juice, vinegar, curd etc and keep for 30 mins in a refrigerator.

Put them in a shallow baking dish skin side up.

Bake at 200oC for 45 minutes to an hour in a micro-oven, until the skin is crisp and brown and the meat is ready to fall off the bones.

For oven cooking, heat the required amount of vegetable oil in a frying pan / kadai and then fry ginger-garlic-onion paste (1:1:2) till golden brown. Add the marinated legs into it and cook under low heat for long time till attractive crispy and golden brown color appear.
